My areas of expertise include working with couple’s, treating anxiety and depression, relationship issues (together as a couple or with individuals), working with emotional and behavioral issues with children ages 3-7, teen issues and young adults. I incorporate the connection of mind, body and heart into my work with all ages and issues. We are whole beings and to be our best selves, our mind, body and hearts all need attention.
I began my work as a therapist with children and adolescents in a residential treatment center. From there I developed a family crisis program in the twin cities metro area. Children and adolescents have been at the center of my practice for many years but I realized early on that I needed to work with the whole family and parents in order to see lasting change for children. I have worked in community mental health centers and in the private sector of mental health. I have provided in-home family therapy in remote parts of Minnesota and within the metro area, I have consulted with schools and helped young adults manage the transition of moving away from home and adults manage the transition to an empty nest. I currently work with children, adolescents, adults and couple’s in my office. I have years of experience working with a multitude of issues. If you have any questions about my experience and knowledge of working with a specific issue, please feel free to contact me and ask.
My office is located in historic downtown Chaska. Most people find it warm and inviting.
